Life is your choice

Life

MONEY- some people  think that money and riches are the answer and that they will bring happiness for a while ,yes but before long it will bring happiness, for a while  yes :but before long it will vanish and sorrows come .The  Bible  tells us of a man whose aim in life was to be rich (Luke12:16-21)He had more money than he needed –But he died and his riches were of no help to him & God called him “a fool”. This is how it will be with anyone who store up things for himself but is not rich toward God.

FRIENDSHIP – It’s nice to have friends, of course they can give us much joy – But friends can let us down – They are not the answer, and friendship doesn’t always last.

ENTERTAINMENT – Many of us think that entertainment is an answer. We often watch and play games while trying many other hobbies. They are all good fun if they don’t get a grip on us. But eventually they wear off and you will always look for something new. Have you not heard of the story of the man who was a clown, who use to entertained people at the Circus? This man went to the doctor seeking help because he was unhappy and depressed. The doctor instead, suggested that he should go to the Circus which was in town at the that time, “You will really enjoy the Clown” The Doctor said, “He will make you happy” The man replied “ but I am that Clown”

DRUGS – some have resorted to drugs – These help them to forget their problems, for a time, but problems come back again afterwards – as a result their health deteriorates or even die disappointed.

ONE WAY – JESUS – There is of course only one way which is the Jesus – way leading you to happiness. The bible says seek first the kingdom of heaven – In that Kingdom is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Jesus Christ is alive,– you have tried the rest – now try best.

The bible tells us about a man called Joshua; He was a great leader of the nation of Israel. The people had been wandering for forty years in the wilderness, without a land of their own. Joshua under God’s direction led them in victory against the evil nations who previously occupied the land. Joshua then challenged all the people to make a decision, “Choose for yourself this day who you will serve, whether the gods your fore-fathers served beyond the river or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are Going Living,

But as for me and my household we will serve the lord” Joshua 24 v 15 the same challenge comes to each one of us. Will you make the same commitment as Joshua this day?
